A Stairway Solution
Stairway walls present a unique challenge in room design, often bringing issues with height and walk-through space. With this project, we maximized the space by providing plenty of open shelving. The units’s gorgeous stepped-down arrangement echoes the stairway rise and compliments our clients’ vintage wrought iron railing. We stained solid, select pine planks with red mahogany to achieve a deep, luxurious tone. The finish is satin polyurethane, offering a soft sheen and glass-like feel for easy dusting! This otherwise wasted space is now a highly functional centerpiece for our client’s basement family room.
