At Martin & Calloway we appreciate the craftsmanship of classic furniture and share the sentimental value so many of our customers have for their favorite pieces. IMG_3665Please note, Martin & Calloway’s service is limited to wood repairs only. We do not perform stripping/refinishing or upholstery, caning, electronic or hardware repairs.

When you contact Martin & Calloway we encourage you send photos of your pieces. Often with a few photos and brief description we can give a ballpark estimate via email or phone. If you choose Martin & Calloway, we’ll discuss a time for you to drop off your furniture at our shop. In the event your pieces are too large for you to bring to us, we can provide pick-up and delivery.

Wood Repair Process

When a piece comes to us for repair, we make every effort to separate loose joints completely before gluing and clamping. This makes for a stronger, more permanent fix by maximizing the glued surface area. Often the repair of loose glue joints involves the removal of old adhesives, fillers and fasteners. We have the proper tools and experience for the job.

In some cases elements of your furniture may be missing or damaged beyond repair. We can custom fabricate and stain replacement pieces to restore the look and function of your furniture.

At Martin & Calloway, we strive to meet or exceed your expectations when trusting us with the repair of your valued furniture and heirlooms. To this end, we will give you an honest assessment of the condition of your furniture. If we feel your piece is beyond successful, lasting repair we will let you know. You can be assured Martin & Calloway will care for your fine old furniture with all of the respect and attention to detail it deserves!
