New Life For An Aging Dining Room Set
This gorgeous set of dining room furniture, a favorite of our clients, was in need of a refreshed finish. It was their wish to achieve a more uniform look for the set, which consisted of different woods and varying shades. They settled on a slightly darker color to add richness and depth while achieving the uniformity they desired. We think it was a fantastic choice! After stripping the finish, we made some minor repairs to the chair joinery before coating with tinted polyurethane. We needed several coats to achieve the desired color. At that point we sprayed several coats of clear poly to protect the colored layers. Finally we rubbed out the finish and polished each piece with wax. We wish our clients many happy meals around this beautiful dining set!
